Put the bearings back in the wheels and back on the frame getting the engine parts back tomorrow

Got my barrel and cylinder head back friday all vapour blasted, just rebuilt it.Refitted the cam and valves and reground the seats.Looks miles better than the previous pictures now

Just Put the engine in the frame tonight without a scratch..beginning to look like a bike again
One thing I will be looking for is a good condition chrome horn,the chrome is badly pitted and I dont really want to spend £134 for a new one anyone got one I could buy? Thanks for looking I used ZX1 throughout for this rebuild as always http://www.team-zx1.com/

Well tonight I put the cylinder head on ,to be honest I wish id put it on with the engine out it is a struggle to fit this later its so tight I nearly took the engine out again.The cylinder head bolts dont clear the frame.Its really tight to rebuild this engine in the frame or out you are going to have problems....if you build the engine complete out when you put it in the frame you could mark it easily

Well just got back from R&S and my chromes all been done so now I can start to finish the bike

Helpive just come to fit the front brake cable and its seized solid I need a new one but cant find the kawasaki part number I think it begins 54005 ? using the CD Andreas gave me anyone help as its going to be so hard to find the number in the UK (Drum Brake 250 E model)

I'm sorry I can't help you.
The only information I can give is, that a drum brake model (such as your D) has never officially been sold by Kawasaki in Europe.

It might be 54005 or 54011???
I really can't say ...

Found the part number its 54005-1187 but its discontinuedso my first try is a Honda H100 brake cable and I will try and modify it to fit

Just got a new Honda H100 Brake cable delivered and with a bit of fabrication it will fit ok so im Happy and can finish the bike again
