Hi guys I have just picked a BJ250A serial number BJ250A000631 here in Phnom Penh. I plan to rebuild it and use as a daily rider, but first I need a service manual. Can anyone help me with a manual?

Your Estrella seems to be one of the first Estrellas?!!!
Same tank logo as our German ones! VERY rare in Japan!
The motor etc. of your Estrella should be 99.9% the same as in the German manual (1994 Estrella) ...

Thanks so much Cadfael! Really appreciated. I am not sure if the odo is correct on the bike, but if so, it may only have about 6000klms on it. It runs beautifully and is in pretty good condition considering its age. I am not sure if knowing it is a bit rare will change my plans for it or not. I was thinking of modifying it, a bit bobber-like but maybe I should try to restore it instead. I really bought it to give me something to do in my spare time, there is only so many hours you can spend in cafes and bars in Phnom Penh....
Great website and forum by the way...although I am mostly guessing what the German means.

I also have a first BJ250A, I just bought it in Laos. The engine runs nice, but it makes a bit of smoke, probably (hopefully) due to the valve seals. Can you send me the service manual also, I would like to get started on it as soon as possible... Thank you!

I have an Estrella (engine: BJ250AE000674) and would appreciate if someone could email me the service manual in English. I've been having an issue with backfires (either running too rich or too lean) and I need to check the standard for the jets inside the carb (has been professionally cleaned). It could be an issue with the vacuum compression at the petcock, as I just noticed a bit of fuel leaking out between the flat seal today (after she had been sitting for a few days). Anyway I can order an original petcock? Can't find one here in Siem Reap. Thanks so much!!
