The sensor of the side stand looks can t work but l can t figure out how the stand push the sensor. I suppose miss something or something damage. So before change it, someone has a photo of the stand regarding the point where it push the sensor or, where can l the technical manual? Thanks Luca
The link to the manual I sent you late September is all we have...
All I can say is that the switch does not close but open the connection. It is like the light in a refrigerator (light on when door open / not pushed down) and not like a door bell...
First thing I would do is spray the area with something like WD-40. Generously! And then clean it.With a (paint-)brush. I'll try to make a picture tomorrow.
It's not a sensor, it's a switch. To find it You have to look from underneath. I had to search for it to take the picture. And I'll clean it occasionally.
Kawasaki seems to have changed the switch-device. Can You show another Photo, preferably from the same angle as mine? Right now it looks to me, as if some lever is missing, and your switch should be pushed, when the sidestand is up. With our Estrellas it's the other way round. Sidestand up pushes the switch, as you can see on my picture.
Yes, Luca, this picture looks different. Kawa has'nt changed anything. The lever, which pushes the switch, when the sidestand is down, seems to be bent flat. Try to bend it back to a 90 degree angle. If it doesn't break everything will be fine. If it does you need someone to weld it.
I already tried the switch of my estrella and it is working, that is, when the leg is lowered it is pressed and when the leg is raised it is released. But how would it work? A while ago I saw the same system on a suzuki, and it works when engaging a gear if the leg is down, it turns off automatically, but in the star it doesn't work that way. someone knows the way it works in our estrella's
