I live the Uk and I very interested in the Estrella and I am thinking of buying one here, any advice on what to look for when buying this bike.

I think in the UK you will get Estrellas imported from Japan.
Most of them were built between 1992 and 2000.
It is not so important how many years an Estrella has but how it was treated (and the kilometers).
